Designed to be used at the top of entangled mesh rainscreen assemblies.

The Top Vent Track for Rainscreen provides venting and draining for the entangled mesh rainscreen or other medium as defined by IBC & IRC codes on plywood and OSB sheathing for exterior. This component serves as a vented Casing Bead because of its 1” vent slots in the top ground to manage allow air flow into the air space behind the cladding.

Installation of Top Vent Track (TVT)
- Positioning the TVT
- Attach the Top Vent Track (TVT) either:
- To the top flange of the TVT to the soffit.
- Or align with the top edge of the vertical wall.
- Attach the Top Vent Track (TVT) either:
- Mounting the TVT
- Place the TVT over the first Weather-Resistant Barrier (WRB) on the top of the wall.
- Fastening the TVT
- Use fasteners as outlined in ASTM C-1861, Table 3 (refer to the chart below for details).
- Fasteners should be spaced approximately 7 inches on-center.
- Completion of Installation
- Once the TVT is securely attached, place the entangled mesh drain mat over the attachment flange.
- Align the drain mat so that it touches and aligns with the elliptical slots.
