Diamond Security Lath is an expanded steel base used for interior and exterior plaster and stucco reinforcement for secured applications where advanced breech protection is required.
Expanded metal lath is formed from heavy gauge sheet steel that has been slit and expanded to form hundreds of “keys” per square yard. It is proven to possess exceptional strength and sacrificing penetration resistance, making it the preferred metal base in applications for hard coat stucco in jails, detention centers, correctional facilities, homeland security, etc.

ClarkDietrich recommends that the ceiling “float” without being attached to the mechanical framing because of the stiffness and strength of the Security Lath. Consult with our Technical and Engineering Services Departments for use and design criteria.

Installation

For installation and placement instruction refer to ASTM C1063 and C841
Galvanized steel products should not be used with magnesium oxychloride cement stucco or Portland cement stucco containing calcium chloride additives. Follow control joint and expansion joint recommendations outlined in ASTM C1063, section 7.11.4
Storage
All stored materials shall be kept dry. Materials shall be stacked off the ground, supported on a level platform and protected from the weather and surface contamination per ASTM C1063. Make sure edges are protected.
