304 or 316 Stainless Steel Dimpled Self-Furring Lath

When the highest levels of corrosion resistance are required

When the highest levels of corrosion resistance are required, a stainless-steel lath is useful in special applications over flat or contoured surfaces and for ornamental work as well as for use as a reinforcing underlayment for deck coatings, drainage areas, pools and water treatment, coastal applications, high temperature covering, fireproof coatings, among other special uses. Produced in both SS304 and SS316 alloys, for special requirements.

Application(s): Stucco, Stone Veneer

A high-performance stainless-steel lath used for environments with a propensity for corrosion.  Applications include coastal environments, around landscaping, rockwork,  theme parks, tunnels & bridges, high-temperature applications, waterproofing and drainage systems, among others.   The dimpled furring is manufactured into each sheet with evenly spaced embossed dimples.  These dimples hold the SS lath uniformly ¼-inch away from the surface to embed cementitious materials.

ClarkDietrich produces in Two stainless alloys:

•    SS304 – the most common stainless steel grades and offers a combination of good mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance. Excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, including acidic and alkaline solutions.  Particularly resistant to oxidation, making it suitable for high-temperature applications.
•    SS316 - known for its excellent corrosion resistance and superior performance in harsh environments, particularly in marine applications. Exceptional resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, especially in chloride environments such as seawater.  Greater resistance to corrosion compared to 304 stainless steel, due to the presence of molybdenum.

All fasteners or attachments should match the same 300 series stainless alloy or to isolate other alloy fasteners via non-metallic washers to avoid dissimilar metal contact.
