Feb. 4, 2014 - West Chester, Ohio — ClarkDietrich Building Systems today announced the addition of the FastBridge Clip to its industry-leading lineup of clip and connection products. FastBridge Clip connectors attach U-channels to structural wall studs for lateral bridging, while the friction fit design requires fewer screws to secure the clip to the U-channel.
“The FastBridge clip is a high-performing product that has considerable labor and material saving benefits, as many applications only require one screw for attachment,” said Terry Westerman, vice president of marketing, ClarkDietrich Building Systems. “From steel studs and tracks, to clips and connectors, ClarkDietrich will continue to produce cost-effective products that save time and make installing wall assemblies easier.”
The FastBridge Clip is designed to work with 1 ½” U-channels and is available in two versions; a 14-gauge heavy-duty clip for use with 12-16 gauge structural studs, and an 18-gauge light-duty clip for use with 18-20 gauge structural studs. (FB43 has now been tested to work with 16 gauge systems - 9/30/16 update)
FastBridge meets ASTM A653 standards and is available nationwide via ClarkDietrich Clip Express. Clip Express is a single source for the industry’s widest and most cost-effective array of rigid, deflection, bridging, and general-purpose clips, connectors, supports and framing hardware for commercial and residential light-gauge steel framing
