Backing Plate

Added support where shelves, cabinets, fixtures or handrails are installed

ClarkDietrich's backing plate is a general multipurpose flat stock that is used for backer plate to support shelves, cabinets, fixtures or handrails when applied to metal framing. Backing plate should not be used as tension strapping or cross bracing. Diagonal Tension Strapping should be used in those applications.

• Use as backer plates for attachment of fixtures to metal stud walls.
• Available in 2”, 3”, 4”, 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” widths and 25 and 20 gauge.
• Standard length is 10’. Other lengths and coil stock are available.
