November 1, 2011 - West Chester, OH - ClarkDietrich™ Building Systems today announced that it has purchased the Vinyl Corp. business from Worthington Industries, Inc. Located in Miami, Fla., Vinyl Corp. is one of the largest, full-line vinyl bead and trim manufacturers in the U.S. The company’s products include beads, trims and control joints for stucco/plaster, drywall, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS) and direct-applied exterior finish systems (DEFS).

Bill Courtney Named to AWCI Executive Committee

October 14, 2011 - West Chester, OH - At AWCI's fall conference last month, the AWCI Nominating Committee nominated Bill Courtney, president and CEO of ClarkDietrich, to the AWCI Executive Committee as supplier at-large.  His term will run from 2012 through 2015.

American Metal Market to Provide SFIA with Steel Price Forecasts

September 19, 2011 — The Steel Framing Industry Association (SFIA) and the American Metal Market (AMM) have entered into a joint marketing agreement to provide SFIA members access to AMM forecasting information via the SFIA website's "Members Only" section. As part of the arrangement the AMM will also offer special discounts to SFIA members for AMM information products and services.

February 22, 2011 - New York, NY — Marubeni-Itochu Steel America Inc. (MISA) and Worthington Industries, Inc. (NYSE: WOR) announced today that they have reached an agreement in principle to combine ClarkWestern Building Systems and Dietrich Metal Framing in a newly-formed joint venture. In the transaction, MISA will acquire a 75 percent interest of the joint venture, and Worthington will acquire a 25 percent interest. As part of the exchange, Worthington will also acquire the assets of the non-automotive service center business of MISA Metals, Inc.
